Joseph Franklin “Jay” Cavalier age 71 of Smithers died May 23, 2010. He was born September 7, 1939 in Smithers and is the son of Edna “Wolfe” Cavalier of Smithers and the late Joseph Cavalier.
He was a veteran of the United States Marines and a former Police officer in Dallas, Texas. He was a local area business owner.
Surviving: children Kathy Cavalier Maxwell of Proctorville, Ohio and Kay Cavalier of Glen Ferris; brother Robert Cavalier of Smithers; grandchildren Stephanie Maxwell Payne, Paul David Maxwell III and Vinny Cavalier; great-grandchild Chloe Payne; special aunt Daisy Forbes of Smithers.
Service will be 1:00 PM Thursday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park at London. Friends may call from 6 until 8 on Wednesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
