Judith E. Logan Holmes age 71 of Smithers died June 3, 2012. She was born September 3, 1940 in Powellton and was the daughter of the late Alva Roy and Clara Ostrom Logan Sr. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles William Holmes, a son Michael Holmes and brothers James, Corky and Pete Logan and sisters Carole Peterson and Betty Slayton.
She was a long time member of Oakland Church of God in Smithers and she was retired from the State of West Virginia as an auditor with 32 years of service. She was a member and former vice president of the Eagles Woman’s Auxiliary in Montgomery.
Surviving: son William E. Holmes and his fiancé Tiffannie Homes of Poca; grandchildren Brianne Morgan, Crysannia Holmes and Clara Jane Holmes; sisters Mary Moore and her husband Gary of Fayetteville and Becky Slayton and her husband Larry of Fayetteville; sister-in-law Nelda Logan of Smithers and brother-in-law Roger Slayton of Fayetteville.
Service will be 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Paul K. Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park at London.
