Obituary for Julia Elizabeth Mease
Our Mother Julia Elizabeth Mease, 88, of Smithers passed away on December 10, 2014 at CAMC Memorial with her family by her side. She was born June 25, 1926 in Fayetteville and was the daughter of the late Robert and Janie Campbell Beirne Sr. Also preceding her in death was her husband Emerson "Mac" Mease; sister, Ruth Picarella; brothers, Robert L. Beirne Jr and Charles Beirne and a grandson Gregory Mason Perry.
Julia was a lifelong resident of Fayette Co. She was a graduate of Montgomery High School, attended West Virginia Tech, attended the First Christian Church of Montgomery and was retired from Mountain State Insurance Agency in Montgomery.
Surviving are her daughters, Judy Perry of Smithers and Betty Gilkerson and her husband Tom of Kanawha Falls, stepson, Robert Mease of Cedar Grove; grandson, David Perry and his wife Lori of Worcester, Mass, granddaughter, Sarah Mease of Kanawha Falls; great grandsons, Nicholas R. Perry of Bradford, RI and Gregory M. Perry of Plainfield, CT.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Jim Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Moms life was entirely devoted to her family. Her home was a gathering place where everyone felt welcome. Families are forever.
