Obituary for Karen Sue Whitt
Karen Sue Whitt age 67 of Mt. Carbon died July 10, 2022. She was born January 6, 1955 in Montgomery
and she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Jacqueline Piccarrella Nickoson.
She attended The Church of Jesus Christ in Kanawha City and she was retired from Montgomery General
Elderly Care. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of Chapter # 38 of the OES in Montgomery
and she was a loving wife and mother.
Surviving: husband Ernest Whitt Jr.; children Susanne Bennett (Steve) of Montgomery, John Michael
Whitt (Tiffany) of Mt. Carbon and Christina Bell Francis (Scott) of Mt. Carbon; grandchildren Stevie, Alex,
Taylor, Allison, and Bella and Great-granddaughter McKinley; siblings Herbie Nickoson of Houma, LA,
Michael Nickoson of St. Albans, Peggy Sapp of Cannelton and Tommy Nickoson of Montgomery.
Service will be Friday at 1:00 PM at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Bishop Paul Rose officiating.
Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park at London. Friends may call 2 hours prior to service at
