Obituary for Kelly La'Ruth Watson

Kelly La'Ruth Watson was born May 17, 1984 in Charleston, W.V. She departed life on December 1, 2013, after a long battle with cancer. Kelly was the daughter of Dianne M. Watson and Rufus L. Spillman.

Kelly was a senior majoring in Business Marketing at West Virginia State University before becoming ill. Kelly enjoyed traveling and promoting her girls participation in an elite colligate professional cheerleading organization. She was a caring, funny, ambitious, gregarious mother who took special pride in her family and education.

Kelly left to celebrate her memories: mother Dianne Watson of Montgomery, WV and father Rufus Spillman of Deepwater, West Virginia; and her 14 year companion Robbie Miller of Charleston, WV; son Francis Isaiah Divita, Aaliyah Rockell Miller, Nevaeh Sunshine Miller, and Shya La'May Miller all of Charleston, WV. Brothers Rudy Watson of Huntington, WV, Ryan Watson of Teays Valley, WV, Lorrenzo Moore of Montgomery, WV, and Alonzo Moore of Montgomery WV; sisters: Terri Williams of Falls View WV, Suzanne Spillman of Charleston, WV, Rachel Coles of Oak Hill, WV, Carmilla Spillman of East Bank, WV Kelly also leaves behind her aunts Frances Coles of Dunbar, WV, Mary-Ann Payne of Dayton, OH; uncles Virgil Payne of Beards Fork, WV, William Payne of OK, Robert Harvey of Dayton, OH, John Edwards Spillman of Cleveland, OH; Honorable mention to Aumentine Watson, Sireena Coles, Keyairra Davenport, and Shauna Overton; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Kelly was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Cecil Temple Watson and Jessie Mea Harvey-Watson of Montgomery, WV; paternal grandparents John and Ruth Spillman of Deepwater, WV; brother William D. Terrell of Montgomery, WV; and Aunt Cecil Lavern Watson of Columbus, Ohio.

Kelly's life was devoted to her family and kids. She was always there when anyone needed her. She was loved by many and will be truly missed.

Funeral services will be held at the Living Waters Church in Montgomery, WV, on Saturday, December 7, 2013, with a personal viewing from 12:00 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. and funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. with ReverendsWilliam Kinney officiating . The burial will follow in Meadow Haven Memorial Park at Ingram Branch. Friends may call two hours prior service at the church. Expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
