Obituary for Larry Devon Burs
Larry Devon Burs born February 20, 1951 in Harlem Heights, WV died May 27, 2014.
He attended Montgomery High School and Collins High School. He then enlisted in the Air Force where he served his country fighting in Vietnam.
Larry was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Deepwater, WV.
Preceding him in death was his father Johnnie Lee Burs, Sr, brother, Johnnie Lee Burs Jr and his companion for 17 years Ernestine Sykes.
He leaves to mourn ; his mother, Mrs. Mildred Burs of Deepwater, WV; brothers, Jerome Burs and his wife Tina, Russell Burs and his wife Kathy of Smithers, Ray Burs and his wife Melody of Deepwater and Keith Burs and his wife Jayleah of Dunbar; sisters; Bathsheba Burkes, Carol Evans and her husband Gary of Charleston , Dinah Burs and Linda Neal of Charlotte, NC and many nieces, nephews and a lot of friends.
Service will be Noon Saturday, May 31 at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Bishop Thomas Murray Jr officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow Haven Memorial Park, Ingram Branch, WV. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
