Lois “Sister” June Nutter Crawford, born May 30, 1927, passed from this life on Friday morning June 10th, in Cabell Huntington Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was a lifelong resident of Fayette Co. and was a faithful member of Montgomery Baptist Church. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Maggie Nutter; her husband of 27 years, Pete Carlos Crawford; and her brothers James, Lester, and David Nutter. Lois is survived by her sons, James C. Crawford and wife, Sherry of Tampa, FL; Gregory A. Crawford and wife, Paula, of Raleigh, NC; R. Mark Crawford of Montgomery, WV; and Tracy L. Crawford of Montgomery, WV; grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Andrea, and Jamie all of Florida; Leslie, Chelsi, and Allie, all of North Carolina; Jessie, Jordan, Joseph, and Angelo all of West Virginia; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Robert Nutter and sister, Ruth Wiseman. Lois’s life was full with family and friends who she kept close to her no matter how far the distance.
Service will be 1:00 PM Monday, June 13, 2011 at Montgomery Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Swor and Rev. C. J. Rider officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park at London. Friends may call 2 hours prior to service at the church. O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery is in charge of arrangements.
