Lonnie Elmer Atha age 82 of Deep Water died Sunday June 3, 2012 after an extended illness. He was born April 8, 1930 at Elkridge to the late Arnet and Altha Stump Atha. He is also preceded in death by his brothers; Arnet Hugheston Atha Sr, Harold, Bob and Roy Atha, and also a daughter, Noca Sanders.
Survivors are his wife, Virginia Atha, daughters; Lynn Fries and her husband Paul of College Station, TX and Sara Atha of Deepwater; sons; Dean Atha and his companion Lori Smith of Troy, Oh and Keith Atha of Deepwater; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sisters; Jaunita Mundy of Vandalia, OH, Margaret Pack of Vandalia, OH, Carol June McDonald of Deepwater, Glenna Nichols of Oak Hill, brother Jarrell Atha of Germantown, Oh and George Atha of Deepwater, and also many nieces and nephews.
Service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday June 6, 2012 at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Steve Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
