Obituary for Luther Eugene "Gene" Jarrett
Luther Eugene “Gene” Jarrett, 82, of Kimberly, WV entered into eternal rest March 9th 2024 after a short illness.
Gene was born on June 1st 1941 in Smithers, WV. He was a devout Christian of the Pentecostal faith. He was a loving husband, father and pawpaw who loved his family dearly.
He was the son of the late Luther and Bessie (Nottingham) Jarrett. Preceding him in death besides his parents are his brothers Jesse, Ernest and Tommy. Sisters Delcie and Debbie. Surviving brother Bob and sister Pearl.
Surviving is his wife Barbara of 61 years whom he loved dearly. Also surviving are one son Jeff (Kat) Jarrett, and two daughters Kim (Jimmy) Given and Staci (Keith) Payne all of Kimberly, WV. Eight grandchildren, Tyler (Taylor) Given, Keyshawn (Lauren) Payne, Luke and Jayde, Dylan, Drew and Landon Jarrett and Karli Drennen. Six great grandchildren, Ariana and Greenlee Given, Keylan and Cyrus Payne, Davina Jarrett and Indie Jarrett. Gene also had many nieces and nephews whom he loved along with many friends.
There will be a memorial service held at Glen Ferris Apostolic Church in Glen Ferris, WV on Saturday March 23rd 2024 at 1:00 pm.
