Obituary for Mable Janet Truman

Mable Janet Truman age 79 of Powellton died July 6, 2015. She was born December 10, 1935 in Clay County, WV and was the daughter of the late Onico and Tishie Metheny Davis. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Billie Davis and Benny Davis and sisters Ruby Burdette, Maxine Duncan and Garnet Duncan.

Janet was a member of Open Bible Temple Independent Baptist Church in Powellton and a retired employee of WVUIT with 28 years of service.

Surviving: children Chris Jackson and husband Mike of Montgomery, Mark Truman and wife Regina of Charleston, Teresa Reynolds and husband Mike of Powellton, Belinda Pettry and Georgegenna Truman of Powellton; grandchildren Carey Vickers Jr. and wife Laura of Kimberly, Chad Vickers and wife Kat of Montgomery, Crag Vickers of Ansted and Kimberly Moore and husband G.W. of Powellton; great-grandchildren Tyler Vickers, Hayden Vickers, Blake Moore, Jackson Moore and Kaydence Vickers; brothers Jack Davis and wife Watha of Powellton, Copper Davis and wife Barb of Powellton, Pat Davis of Adena Village, Mark Davis and wife Sharon of Kimberly, Manuel Davis and wife Rowena of Powellton and sister Ginder Gordon of Kimberly; special son Carey Vickers of Ansted; sister in law Harriett Davis of Beaufort, SC and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Service will be held at 12:00 Noon of Friday at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Rodney Nicholas officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow.
