Obituary for Madeline M. "Madge" Walker

Madeline M. “Madge” Walker age 80 of Powellton died January 1, 2010 at home. She was born December 18, 1929 at Harrison, Clay County and was the last surviving child of the late Albert and Myrtle Hannah Nelson. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband Charles Walker, her sisters Maysel Parker, Mabel Hypes and Anna Mae Loving and her brothers Jink, Jerd, Jennings, Holly, Chester and Lester Nelson.
Madge was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and se will be so sadly missed.
Left to cherish her memory is her children Brenda Neil and her husband Dayton of Pratt, Ronald Walker and his wife Robin of Boomer and Lisa Nuttall of Belle; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Madge’s family would like to express their appreciation to Hospice Care and especially her nurse Pat Elswick for her compassion and caring during this time.
Service will be 2:00 PM Monday, January 4, 2009 at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Greg Frances officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow.
