Obituary for Mary Maxine Fordyce

Mary Maxine Fordyce age 80 of Boomer died June 1, 2009 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston. She was born February 17, 1929 in Sandstone and was the daughter of the late Lee and Ellen Taylor Ward. She was also preceded in death by her husband Murrel Fordyce Jr. and her sister Etta Crawford.
She was a lifelong homemaker and a Christian.
Surviving: children Catherine Morris and her husband Johnny of Lansing and Mark Fordyce and his wife Andrea of Charlton Heights; grandchildren Amanda, Sarah and Emily; brother Jack Ward of Gauley Bridge; sisters Gloria “Coochie” Whiteside and her husband Charles and Peggy Stringer and her husband Bob both of Cleveland, Ohio, Sue Hughes of Gauley Bridge and Joyce Job of Cool Ridge; special friend Paul Jones of Boonsborough and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Service will be 2:00 PM Thursday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Pastor Allen Donaldson officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park at London. Friends may call two hours prior to service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Hospice Care and Hubbard Hospice House, 1606 Kanawha BLVD. W., Charleston, WV 25312-2536.
