Mary Louise Smith departed this life on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014, at the age of 85.Beloved wife of the late Earl Smith, Sr. Mother of Orange (Kenneth) Hopkins, Earl, Jr. (Vanessa), Lionel (Annie), James, Charles and Marv (Heather) Smith and the late John L. (Gail) Woods. Also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.A funeral service will take place at 1. p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery. Interment will follow in Meadow Haven Memorial Park, Ingram Branch. A viewing will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will also be a memorial service in Orange Park, Fla., for the extended family where she presided as the Mother of the Church at Mount Horeb Baptist Church at 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17.
