Obituary for Nancy Elizabeth Brown

Nancy Elizabeth Brown, 62 of Kimberly went home to be with the Lord on May 29, 2011 after a long battle with heart disease. She was at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH at the time of her death. She was baptized at the early age of 12 in Powellton, WV while a member of the First Baptist Church of Kimberly. Later in life, she joined Bethel Church of Smithers, WV. While at Bethel, she attended Bible Study and was a member in good standing in the Interdenominational Association of Ministers and Christian Workers, Inc. Nancy was a loving and caring person, as well as an avid reader who loved books, especially the Bible. She retired from the State of WV as Assistant Director at State Income Tax Division, where she worked for 31 years. After retirement, she went on to work for the Kanawha County Public Library in Charleston, WV. She was preceded in death by her father, John;mother, Mable Thomas-Parker; brother, John and sisters, Diane and San Renee.
She is survived by her loving brothers Edward(Eddie) Thomas and his wife Virginia of Montgomery and Pastor Lowell Thomas and his wife Virginia L. of Kimberly; sisters Evelyn “Laverne” Williams and her husband John of Lawrenceville, GA., Roberta Johnson and her husband Kenneth of Melbourne, Fla. And Jean Gray and her husband Basil of Chesapeake.
Service will be 1:00 PM Saturday June 4, 2011at Bethel Church of Smithers with Pastor Lowell Thomas officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 prior to service. Burial will follow in Meadow Haven Memorial Park in Ingram Branch.
