Obituary for Nannie Casey Thompson

Nannie Casey Thompson of Jamaica, New York went to be with the Lord Saturday January 8,2011. She was born on June 28, 1950 to James E. and Edna Jefferson Casey. Nan attended Boomer Elementary School and graduated from Gauley Bridge High School in June 1970.
Nan moved to New York, New York married her husband and had a son. She was a member of the Love Oasis Church in Queens, New York
Nan received honors for 30 years of dedicated service with the New York Health Care System, Department of Veterans Affair where she retired.
She loved and cherished the time she spent with children, family and friends.
Nan was preceded in death by her beloved husband Christopher Thompson, parents James and Edna Jefferson Casey, and son Krlstopher Percy Thompson.
She leaves to mourn three sisters, Janice and husband Houston Ross of Columbus,. Ohio, Twanda and husband Ralph Dudley of St. Albans W. Va. ,Donna Casey Wilkerson of Smithers W. Va., two brothers James E. Casey of New York, New York, John and wife Wendy Casey Sr. of Charlotte N. C, seven aunts, Delia Casey Watkins, Ruby Jefferson, Imogene Jefferson, Ann Jefferson, Thelma McCluney, Glenda and husband Gary Talamone, all of W.Va., Wilma and husband Raymond Thompson, of Memphis Tennessee, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins great nieces, great nephews and devoted friends.
Nan will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Boomer with Rev. William Kinney officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the church.
