Obituary for Nina June Perdue (Case)

Nina “June” Perdue (Case) began her heavenly journey on December 4, 2023. She was born on August 26, 1926, to the late Virgie and Jeff Mayes in McDunn, West Virginia.

She was one of 16 children, the only high school graduate in her family, and a lifelong Christian. She was a resident of Falls View Village and had resided there for over 60 years. She was a member of the Presbyterian church at Falls View and served as the treasurer of the church for many years.

She was married to Orville Jack Case, Sr. for over 40 years. Upon his passing she was remarried to Horace Perdue for approximately 14 years.

She is survived by her son, Orville Jack Case, Jr. (Louise), great granddaughter Indea Irene Richardson and numerous nieces and nephews.

During the last couple of years of employment, she was employed by several coal companies in company owned stores. During her last years of employment, she was the credit manager for a Sears Catalog Store in Montgomery. In this position she helped many young married couples establish credit.

She was well known and liked by many throughout the community. Her neighbors and church family were instrumental in allowing her to remain in her home. The family would like to express their gratitude to everyone who contributed to her care.
