Obituary for Opal Ilene Stanley

Opal Ilene Elswick Stanley passed peacefully from this life into Heaven on January 14, 2011 at Liza’s Place. A long time resident of Montgomery and Beckley WV she was residing in Wheeling WV and retired from A & P Tea Co. She was born Nov 6, 1926, the daughter of the late Joseph & Maggie Lyons Elswick who predeceased her along with siblings: Estel, Harold, Freddie, Peggy & Pauline.
She is survived by her daughters and their husbands: Phyllis & Chuck Kellam of Wheeling WV, Sharron & Bruce Bartoe of Annapolis Md. Grandchildren: Nick Kellam of Morgantown, Angela & Casey Bartoe of Annapolis Md and Greatgrandson, Conner McFarland of Wheeling, Three sisters, Reba Ball of Dixie, Irene Cole of Glen Ferris, Jean & Fritz Winfree of Kitty Hawk NC, Sister-in-law, Ruby Elswick of Gauley Bridge, many nieces and nephews and her Church families. Visitation will be held from 6 until 9 on Sunday at Kepner Funeral Home, 900 National Road, Bethany Pike,Wheeling, WV.
Funeral Service and Committal will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery. Burial will be in Montgomery Memorial Park at London. Friends may call on Monday from 5 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home.
