Obituary for Rachel Veronica Graley
Rachel Veronica Hensley Graley, 91, of Handley, WV, passed away on January 18, 2024, after a short illness. Rachel was born on December 4, 1932, at East Bank, WV to the late John Henry and Carrie Hensley, she was predeceased by her husband of 27 years Norman Graley, Sr., son Norman Graley, Jr., daughter Rena Green, grandson Jeff Rogers, great grandson Dakota Rogers, three sisters, Camilla, Eliza, Henrietta, and brother Sam.
She entered into Heaven surrounded by her family at her home.
Rachel is survived by her three daughters, Linda Rogers, Brenda (Dee) Hutchinson, Martha Angel and one sister Ann Denny and she was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 10 great great-grandchildren.
She was a faithful member of the Glen Ferris Apostolic Church in Glen Ferris, WV for over 30 years. To those close to her, Rachel instilled the importance of living for Jesus, developing a strong work ethic, and maintaining compassion for others. Rachel is lovingly missed and remembered by a host of family members, friends, and her church family.
Service will be held at 1:00PM at the Glen Ferris Apostolic Church in Glen Ferris on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, and officiated by Pastor Chad Smailes. Burial will follow at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens in Glasgow. Visitation will be held from 12:00PM until the time of service at the Church on Tuesday.
