Ralph Dorsey age 97 of Gauley Bridge died March 30, 2012. He was born October 25, 1914 at Serena, Clay County and was the last surviving son of James Richmond and Viola Neal Dorsey. He was also preceded in death by his wife Fleeta Tabitha Dunlap Dorsey and daughters Arlene Johnson and Pauline Dickason and a son Eric Dorsey.
He was retired from Cannelton Coal Company with 43 years of service and attended several Holiness church in the area.
Surviving: children Bob Dorsey of Smithers and Eva Damron of Gauley Bridge; sister Evelyn Dunlap of Gallagher; a grandson who he adopted Roger Koch of Powellton; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be 1:00 PM Monday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Lee Holliday officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow.
