Robert Lee Nutter age 89 of Montgomery went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday January 3rd at Hubbard Hospice House of Charleston . Mr. Nutter was born February 27, 1924 in Boomer and was the son of the late George Franklin and Maggie Nutter.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Crawford and brothers David, Lester and James Nutter.

Mr. Nutter was a graduate of Gauley Bridge High School and then enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served his country for six years. Upon leaving the Navy he entered and graduated from West Virginia Tech with a degree in chemistry. After graduating college he moved to Columbus, OH where he worked for Momentive Specialty Chemical as a chemist until his retirement. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds.

He is survived by a sister Janice Ruth Wiseman of Plant City, FL and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be 2:00 PM Sunday January 5th at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Pastor James Nesson officiating. Internment will follow at Montgomery Memorial Park, London. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff of Montgomery General Hospital for their care and kindness during Mr. Nutters time there.
