Robert Lee Pierce, Sr. age 74 of Montgomery died September 18, 2013. He was born May 22,1939 in Marting and was the son of the late William and Nell Cooper Pierce. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Mary Pierce and brothers Tom and Billy Pierce.

He was a retired coal miner from Cannelton Coal and was a member of the UMWA.

Survivors include his companion of 24 years, Diana Roupe; children, Richard Pierce and his wife Cassi of Michigan, Tina Dozier and her husband Robert of Montgomery, Robert Jr. of Montgomery and Christopher Pierce and his wife Michelle of Charlton Heights; step children; Lora Foster of Riverside and Michael Roupe and his wife Judy of Charleston; sisters, Jean Hager and husband Jack of Montgomery and Peggy Baker and her husband Ross of Huntsville, AL; 13 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and his beloved friend "Coco".

There will be no visitation or services.
