Obituary for Roger Dale Grubb

Roger Dale Grubb age 65 of Montgomery went home to be with the Lord on December 27, 2013. He was born October 5, 1948 in Charleston and was the son of the late James and Julia Hanah Grubb. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Lisa Grubb and his granddaughter Emily Cantley and brothers and sisters Larry, David, James and Mary Sue.

He was a retired Coal Miner from Central Appalachian Coal Company and he was employed by Allied Security. He was a former member of the UMWA and a fine Christian man who enjoyed attending all the local churches and he wanted to make sure that everyone he spoke to was saved. He was a hard working and well known man around the community for his construction work.

He was a wonderful loving and giving Dad and Grandfather who leaves behind his children Michele "Shelly" Strickland and her husband Todd of Hansford, Angela "Ang" Cantley and her husband Grey of Huntington, Tina Grubb and Bill of Boomer and Elizabeth Maria Carr of Shrewsbury; former wife and mother of his children Anna; sister Peggy Keith of Gallagher; grandchildren Danielle, Gracyn, Marissa, Caitlin and Cami.

Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Gary Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow.
