Obituary for Ruth Arlene Johnson
Ruth Arlene Lacy Johnson age 78 of Boomer died April 8, 2015 in Montgomery General Elderly Care after a long illness. She was born November 15, 1936 in Boomer and she was the daughter of the late Ezra and Dennie Hobbs Lacy. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Claude James Johnson.
Ruth had worked at the G.C. Murphy Co. in Montgomery and Pinions Market at Boomer and she was a member of the Smithers Church of God.
Surviving are her children Lisa Duncan and her husband Thomas of Pratt, Greg Johnson and his wife Marsha of Mt. Carbon, Jeff Johnson and his wife Amy of Hurricane and Brent Lacy of Ashtabula, OH; stepchildren Arlie Johnson and wife Linda of Apple Creek, OH and Veda and husband Walter of Bryan, TX; brother Frank Lacy of Andover, OH; grandchildren Joshua and his wife Arica, Jared, Noah, Sydney, Chelsie, William, Matthew, Daniel and Mollie; step-grandchildren Pat, Kim, Paul, Sheila, Ray, James, Karyn and Tim; great-grandchildren Parker, Julianna, Eli and Owen.
Service will be on Monday at 1:00 PM at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Joseph Hubbard officiating.
Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow. Friends may call on Sunday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
