Sandra Kay "Sandy" Thompson age 64 of Montgomery, died Saturday September 20, 2014 after a short illness, at CAMC Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Born February 7, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Garnett and Thelma Halsey Moss. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Thompson; youngest son Jason Thompson; sister Carolyn Freeman; and brother Jimmy Moss.

Sandra was a devoted Christian who held a strong religious faith. She enjoyed crafts and was a talented artist. She had an admirable work ethic. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt always willing to give to those who needed her. Sandra will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Surviving: son John Thompson and wife Angelia of Boomer; 3 granddaughters who were her pride and joy, Jordyn and Javin Thompson of Montgomery and Jersey Thompson of Boomer; son Phillip Thompson of South Carolina; sisters Linda Senters of Morris Drive and Becky Moss of Charleston; brothers Johnny Moss and wife Karen of Ohio, William Moss; Roderick Moss, David Moss and wife Rose of Teays Valley and Mark Moss and wife Bonnie of Arizona.

A service to celebrate Sandra's life wil be held at 6:00 PM on Saturday at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Robert F. Vanfossen officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
