Sharon Lynn Petry age 56 of Cannelton died August 31, 2009 in Hubbard Hospice House. She was born March 19, 1953 in Logan. She was predeceased by her father Leander Browning and a brother Teddy Browning.
She was a graduate of Montgomery High School and a graduate of Carver Dental School. She was a former employee of Kennedy Dental Office in Montgomery. She was an ordained minister and attended Falls View Community Church. Sharon sang and ministered to the residents of Montgomery Elderly Care and she was blessed with many friends and will be sadly missed.
Surviving: husband Rick Petry; children Chris Petry of Charleston, South Carolina and Rebecca Petry and Freddie of Smithers; granddaughter Kaitlyn Malcolm of Smithers; parents Claudette and Scott Wolford of Glouster, VA; mother-in-law and father-in-law Junior and Dorothy Petry of Cannelton; sisters Joan Keaton and her husband Ed of Glouster, VA, Rhonda Huddleston and husband Tom of Glouster, VA, Kathy White and her husband Gene of Dorothy, Vicki Wolford of Glouster, VA, Sherry Wilson and her husband Craig of Philadelphia, PA and Tammy Wolford of Christiansburg, VA; brother Scott Wolford Jr. and his wife Angie of Beckley, WV.
Service will be 1:00 PM Thursday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Ralph Davis and Rev. David Manley officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow.
