Thomas Patric “Butch” Murphy Jr. age 60 of Charleston died September 15, 2011. He was born September 20, 1951 in Charleston and is the son of Thomas Murphy Sr of Hamlin and the late Ruby Davis Burnett. He was also predeceased by his brother Randy Murphy.
He was a veteran of the US Air Force and he was retired from Edgewood Summit in Charleston.
Surviving: daughters Tondra Smith of Little Creek and Terri Sheets of Columbus, Ohio; brothers Joe Murphy of Greenup, KY, Larry Murphy of Cleveland, OH and Richard Burnett of Hernshaw; sister Elana Nagy of Cleveland, OH; step-son Jeremy Hughes of NC; grandchildren Coty Smith, Kyle Smith and his wife Kylie and Faith Smith, Anthony Sheets and Justin Sheets; great-grandchildren Rylie Smith, Mylie Sheets, Mason Shetts and Brandon Sheets and many aunts, uncles and friends and special friend Glenna Chapman and Somara Stinson.
Service will be held at 8:00 PM on Monday September 19, 2011 at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Gary Smith officiating and eulogy by Joe Murphy. Friends may call from 6 until 8 at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be sent at www.odellfuneralhome.com
