Vernell Holcomb age 83 of Powellton died March 30, 2011. She was born August 31, 1927 at Elkridge and was the daughter of the late Vernon Lee and Rosalie Truman Helm. She was also predeceased by her husband Kermit Holcomb and her brothers Ted Helm and Leon Helm.
She attended the Open Bible Temple in Powellton and she was a member of the Red Hats.
Surviving: sister Flo Knotts and her husband Bob Cosner of Xenia, Ohio; brother Thomas Helm and his wife Clara of Massillon, Ohio; son Rich Holcomb of Boomer; foster daughters Betty Johnson of Powellton and Sharon Albaugh of Powellton; grandson Billy Holcomb and great-grandson Mitchell McCarty.
Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday at O’Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery with Rev. Rodney Nicholas and Rev. Gail Raynes officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens at Glasgow.
