Obituary for William "Bill" David Bowen
William David Bowen (Bill), 62 years old of Montgomery, WV passed away peacefully on Friday, February 11, 2022, after a short illness. He was proceeded in death by his parents E.W. (Bill) Bowen and Dolores Propps Bowen and his infant brother James Lee Bowen. He was also proceeded in death by his former wife Jill Bowen.
Surviving Bill are his son Brandon Bowen of Boomer, WV, brother Dan Bowen of Cross Lanes, WV, brother Gary (Lou Ann) Bowen of Montgomery, WV, sister Patty Ballard (Greg) of Cross Lanes, WV, brother Tom of Barboursville, WV, and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was a 1977 graduate of Gauley Bridge High School and proudly served in the US Air Force.
Brandon was the light of Bill’s life and a continued source of pride and admiration.
Visitation will be held at O’Dell Funeral Home in Montgomery on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service and celebration of his life at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Strickland officiating. Burial will be at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. O’Dell Funeral Home of Montgomery is in charge of arrangements.
