Aunt Peggy,

I've been thinking lately about the anniversary of your passing coming up and it fills my heart with a heaviness, one I can never fully erase. When we moved from Alaska to North Carolina in 2012, I so looked forward to getting settled into our new home and then driving north to visit you and Uncle Clarence. But life happened and you were taken away so soon, far sooner than I saw happening and I never got to see you again alive. I never got to introduce you to the babies you saw pictures of, my children who I know would have loved you as much as I do. I never got to introduce you to my husband, though he heard so much about you. The heaviness in my heart is as much you're gone as the knowledge of all the things that cannot be now that you're gone. I miss you, I miss talking to you, I miss realizing how stubborn we both are, I miss all the possibilities of the future that were taken from us when you passed, and it saddens me to know that all I have now are memories of you, without the ability to make new ones with you. I will always remember you, I'll never forget what a beautiful and wonderful person you are.And  I hope that wherever you are, you're at peace. I love you. -Kelly Jo
